MISSION STATEMENT

Native Americans in Higher Education and Mentorship (NAHEM) is a 501(c) organization that envisions a future where Indigenous peoples across North America, South America, and Oceania are empowered through education, mentorship, and cultural sustainability. We strive to bridge Indigenous communities across continents, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and solidarity in the pursuit of academic and professional success. Our vision is to create a world where Indigenous students and leaders thrive in higher education, preserve and revitalize their languages and traditions, and drive sustainable development within their communities. Through intergenerational learning, cross-cultural exchanges, and collective advocacy, we aim to uplift Indigenous voices, strengthen self-determination, and ensure that Indigenous knowledge systems and cultural legacies endure for generations to come.
